Design is an experiment — an experiment in boundary pushing. As we design, we test hypotheses about achieving desired outcomes for our users. Sometimes we encounter failed experiments - sometimes over and over again. But those failures are necessary. They lead us to the good, impactful designs that add value and delight to people’s lives.
Project Process Book
Using the Design 4 Impact Formula, Culture Trend + Commerce Trend + Design Trend + Technology Trend = Design Proposition, I created Cat&Mouse. Cat&Mouse was designed with these trends in mind: AtmosFear, Pet Indulgences, Handcrafting, and Alternative Materials. I found that the pet industry creates a large amount of waste from food and treat packaging, so I decided to focus on designing cat treat packaging. I designed cat treat packaging that is recyclable, biodegradable, and transformable. Cat&Mouse is 100% biodegradable packaging made from hemp twine and recycled paper printed with algae ink. The packaging also transforms into a cat teaser toy.

Hi! I’m Anna. I am a student, designer, cheerleader, and soon-to-be Georgia Tech grad! As a designer, I am particularly interested in sustainability, soft product design, and storytelling. Through my designs, I hope to add value and delight to people’s lives while maintaining and improving the health of our planet.
