Eunice Kim

Undergraduate

My key skills as a designer are empathy towards users and easy translation of ideations to concepts. My strength is that I can combine these two things to come up with the best possible designs for the users. I strive to become a designer who can truly understand and help people in need, especially the disabled and the elderly. I am proud of my unwavering dedication and energy spent on my passion for design which I believe also makes me an ideal candidate to join any design team.

Project 1

Project 1

Project 1

Class: ID1012, Sam Harris

Project 1 explored user research, design, and 3D printing in plastic & metal. This project also incorporated micro branding & online sales. Each student had to create an original, functional jewelry 3D printed in metal and post the design for sale on Shapeways.

Project 2

Project 2

Project 2

Class: ID1012, Sam Harris

In this project, I designed a pair of sneakers with a sustainable approach focusing on reduce, reuse and recycle. I first explored the sustainable material, Eco felt, and then focused on the creative upper design. In the end, I assembled the upper with a pair of existing outsoles. The shoes were required to fulfill the wearability, fit, and aesthetics. I also had to come up with a brand for the sneakers to build my branding skills.

Project 3

Project 3

Team:  Leah Huck, Cameron Ragan

Class: ID1012, Sam Harris

For Project 3, I worked alongside two classmates. We designed a small-scale exhibition to exhibit all of our past projects from this semester: the 3D-printed wearable tool and the shoe design. The design focuses were visual communication and digital fabrication.
