George Missailidis

Undergraduate

Hi! I am an aspiring UX Designer at Georgia Tech that is forward-thinking and has a passion for technology. I strive to make my designs contemporary with what exists currently, and following trends is something I keep an eye on. I love cars and seeing the progression of their designs from 40 to 50 years ago. Keeping a brand intact for decades like car companies is something I plan on doing in the future.

Class: ID 2024  |  Instructor: Stephen Chininis

For this project, I designed and built the Wayside Lamp. It is meant to be in executive offices, ones that are higher end in furniture and design. The polished steel finish gives the Wayside Lamp a modern and constructive look and the stained and finished pine can match any desk or chair. the Wayside Lamp is simply meant to be put in the corner of the room, standing elegant by itself.

Wellness and Ear Health

Wellness and Ear Health

Class: ID 2024  |  Instructor: Stephen Chininis

The scope of this project was to design a product or experience to benefit someone that is just entering college. I chose ear health due to the parties and events that incoming college students experience, these come with loud volumes for sustained times. Because ear health goes unchecked at a young age, this kiosk and the paired app allow you to check hearing health without having to set an appointment or be on a schedule.

Magic color is a handheld crayon that can be any color you choose! By scanning colors with an RGB sensor, a child can learn to correlate objects with colors. Then, the color selected in the world around them can be used to draw or color on an iPad. Create-X chosen applicant!
