School of Industrial Design students had an opportunity to showcase their design work for potential employers at the recent Industrial Design Career Fair.

Career Education Program Manager Davia Woulard emphasized the importance of focused events such as this. "A lot of career fairs offered across campus are more computer science and engineering focused, and companies are sending recruiters with a focus of recruiting these majors," she said. "Creating a space for employers to come recruit Industrial Design students and allowing our students to showcase the amazing work they are doing as potential interns and/or full-time employees is immensely important."

The fair was well-attended, Woulard said, with 138 student attendees and companies including Orange Sparkle Ball, Delta, Formation Design Group, Harmonic Design, Thrive, Mud Pie, Altium Packaging (Studio PKG), and Veritiv.

"Georgia Tech attracts some of the top companies across the country, and career fairs like this are so valuable to our students in the College of Design," she said. "Career fairs are a great way for students to network with employers and create an avenue for potential employment."

"Each year we will continue to bring more and more companies and expand these types of events for our students in Industrial Design."
