Hunter Spence


Lecturer, School of Industrial Design



Hunter Spence is a part-time lecturer in the School of Industrial Design and teaches Design of Interactive Environments. He comes to Georgia Tech from Second Story, a network of experiential design studios creating immersive, interactive experiences in physical places for both leading global brands and cultural institutions. As Executive Technology Director, he is responsible for setting and guiding the technology direction of capability development, project delivery, and R&D across all Second Story studios in Portland, New York, and Atlanta.

His professional passion is guiding interdisciplinary teams of technologists and designers to collaborate and create story-driven responsive environments that seamlessly integrate digitally activated canvases and materials in ways that inspire audiences to measurable action.
