Class: ID 2024 | Instructor: Kimberly Snyder
Lumera is a whimsical floor lamp meant to decorate a classical art museum lobby. It’s elegance and almost magical nature creates an atmosphere that both excites and intrigues museum guests and visitors. This lamp was originally inspired by the flowing of ocean animals such as large finned fish and jellyfish. As well as by the light nature of clouds and how they absorb light. Meant to dazzle any audience, this lamp’s design sparks interest and serves as a great piece to add before any museum exhibit.

BITE

BITE is a smart training utensil set designed for women in college who want to lessen over-eating. The utensil set lightly pulses when the user should take each bite, and this promotes slower and more mindful eating which is proven to help people eat less. Since this was all online, I further developed my CAD skills and enjoyed working on the branding and rendering of the product.

Stroll Patrol is an interactive safety product, designed for students who typically prefer walking to and from school. If you are walking alone, or would just like a little more security while you are going through a particular area, simply switch on Stroll Patrol and attach it to your backpack or bag with its added clip on feature. With the implementation of proximity sensor technology, when Stroll Patrol is on it will alert the user and any unsuspecting passersby if they are closer than they should be, emitting a subtle vibration as well as a notification that is sent to the user's phone.
