My philosophy as a designer is that the best design is extremely collaborative, both with your design peers and the user. That is how you get the greatest range of empathy and ideas towards creating a better world. I excel in physical model making on the mechanical side, and expressing ideas digitally through renderings and illustrations. I have part time experience doing the graphics work on a small design team, and would love to expand my knowledge by working in a design team with many mentors, focused in user centered design methods.

This lamp is a statement piece that functions as an indoor herb spiral, a permaculture technique in which the arrangement of herbs in relation to a light and water source can support a wider variety of herbs in a small area. The bulb serves as the artificial light source and the planting boxes serve as the watering instructions/drainage. The boxes must then simply be arranged on the array of stainless steel cables that best supports whatever the herb requires. This lamp was designed particularly in a brutalist style that would fit well in open floor kitchen plans.

The college wellness brand that offers a cheaper and healthier alternative to traditional meal plans, in which students can order fresh ingredients based on meals they choose, and begin to foster basic culinary skills everyone should have. It is done through a subscription based system that helps you schedule meals for the week and lets you pick the ingredients up in kiosks across college campuses. The app would include a michelin star inspired tier system in which you can level up as you complete more and more challenging meals.

This was a project done as a group in which we created a smart product based on a sensor we were given. The hands free kitchen timer design incorporates 3 short range IR sensors to become a kitchen timer that can be operated completely with the use of hand motions. This offers a much cleaner alternative than button based timers and a quieter and more reliable alternative to voice activated timers.
