Sprout is a metal floor lamp designed for a therapist's office. Sprout provides comfort and ease when turned on, and a reminder of resilience and finding hope in the face of adversity when turned off. The taller light provides a warm and comfortable ambience. The shorter light provides an optional additional light for the patient. The light utilizes "green light therapy," which has been proven to ease chronic pain and light sensitivity issues. The simple combination of rose gold metal and wooden, natural accents encourage raw and honest conversation. The round curves and symbolic lamp shape resemble a sprouting plant, and serve as a reminder that plants still grow despite harsh winters--and instills that hope of new beginnings into the patient.

Jia is a modern three piece dinnerware set that simplifies the dim sum experience while celebrating the traditional Chinese cultural value of family.Dim sum is a style of Chinese cuisine which consists of small dishes, such as steamed dumplings and fried desserts, being carried on mobile carts to seated customers. Dim sum is generally eaten family style, and is often eaten with family or friends as a social meal and celebration. However, the dim sum dining experience can be intimidating and complex to first timers--Jia simplifies the dining process while maintaining the cultural experience. The steamer basket serving platter has a plastic handle that is cool to touch and a glass lid that allows waiters to see which dish is being served without having to lift the lid and lose heat. The basket also has a compartment to discard lotus leaves, cha siu papers, and small plates. The plate has sauce compartments and sections to keep crispy desserts separate from steamed dumplings. The plate color also coordinates to one dumpling saucer in each steamer basket to emphasize family style dining. Many first timers struggle with the transfer of dumplings from the serving platter - to the plate - to their spoon - to their mouth, The saucer simplifies the interaction and acts as a serving vessel. The rim and inside color matches with the designated plate color to signify which saucer a user should take.

CARD CASE

Designed for college students that take daily prescribed medication, CARD CASE is a smart medication case that is compact, portable and discreet. The current pill management system is stressful and uncomfortable for college students, due to the bulky and attention grabbing pill cases on the market as well as the general stigma of taking medication in public. CARD CASE not only provides a convenient way to carry multiple pills on the go, but also provides a sense of comfort by allowing the user to discreetly handle and take medication. CARD CASE also acts as a student ID card holder and is an easy way for students to carry everyday essentials. With its smart features, CARD CASE connects to the user’s phone through the app. The app sends reminders when to take timed medication, refill the case when it’s empty and alerts the user if they leave it behind on the way out of their dorm.
