The Porsche Cycling Center and Lounge was designed alongside the Porsche Century Electric Bike as an emersion into the Porsche Lifestyle. The goal of the Cycling Center is that as a guest discovers the space, they will come as one persona and leave as another. Each time they return, they discover more. The movement from one floor to the next signifies their emersion into the Porsche lifestyle and its benefits creating a seamless user journey.
The first floor is a space of discovery for non-Century bike owners and relaxation for those who have already purchased the bike. The Porsche non-affiliate has the opportunity to grab a coffee at the coffee bar and chat with a Porsche representative in a low-stakes environment, while the Porsche Century owner is able to stop by on their morning commute for any service and maintenance needs.
The second level of the Cycling Center is a space where the Century Bike can be showcased and reimagined. Visitors can be immersed, interact, and customize the bike to their liking with a projection of themselves on a white model bike. After hours, the space is transformed into a multipurpose extension of the Lounge.
The third floor is the final destination for the Porsche Affiliate. After purchasing a bike and becoming fully immersed in the lifestyle, owners of the Porsche Century bike can relax on the rooftop bar and social space. The rooftop space creates an atmosphere of community and premium experience.
Angler's Aid
Class: ID 4061 | Instructor: Roger Ball
Angler's Aid is a research tool used by state and federal natural resource agencies to collect data concerning fish populations and health from recreational anglers. Current federal recreational fishing survey methods and research tools are outdated and widely distrusted. Angler's Aid is a solution putting power back into the hands of state researchers and aims to create a culture of responsible enjoyment of our natural resources amongst recreational users. The Angler's Aid app allows anglers of all backgrounds and ages to identify their catch species using AI. By simply taking a quick photo of a catch, young anglers can learn more about their fish and log their lifetime accomplishments from the start, while experienced anglers can keep up to date on the most recent regulation and season changes. In doing this, the app logs the specific location, species, size, and water depth, and sends this information back to the agency utilizing the service. These data points help to track population migration and breeding grounds, as well as other areas, over time.
The most important aspect of the Angler's Aid app is that as a user logs their catch, they can go scroll through a local map showcasing the data collected overtime in a digestible way. They can see their own direct impact, encouraging them to continue contributing to the data pool. Through Angler's aid, a culture of awareness and education can be achieved to help conserve and enjoy our world's natural resources.
Bendoz
Class: ID 3042 | Instructor: Kevin Shankwiler
Bendoz strives to solve the organizational and storage problems of shared spaces, focusing on pot and pan drawers.Current storage solutions for drawer spaces are modular rectangles, but with almost all cookware being circular, it makes sense for their organizational structure to follow the same curves and save space in the process. Bendoz allows each user to customize their shapes by connecting segments together and flexing them around the curves of their pots. Different colored bands help users in shared spaces remember ownership of items in that section, and clips allow users to remember the angle of handles.
Steap
Class: ID 2024 | Instructor: Lisa Marks
Tea is not the drink for those looking for a caffeine boost and a wake up call. It is the drink of choice for those who prefer simpler things and balanced lifestyles. Steap was designed with the successful, on-the-go tea connoisseur in mind. It makes steeping the perfect cup of tea easy even when your life is not as simple as you had planned. It brings an element of balance back into the life of the user by regulating water temperature and the steeping time of the tea.

Part of a study on visual brand language, pairs were assigned various brand and tasked with designing writing utensils specific to them. My partner, Vaishu Merugu, and I created The Perfectly Precise Even Better Highlighter. We chose to utilize the fun, youthful, yet useful, and trusted character of the brand and found that a highlighter best embodies these characteristics. The clear body of the capsule represents the transparent ingredients of their products and the varied color options, while the chiseled, thick nib show the customization and personalized fit of the product.
