Herb Velazquez is a Professor of Practice at the School of Industrial Design at Georgia Institute of Technology and the Principal at G Design LLC. With over 30 years of professional experience, Velazquez has established himself as an industrial design leader in the healthcare field, having worked with global corporations such as GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthcare, and Kimberly-Clark. 

His work has garnered national and international recognition, including the IDSA Catalyst Award, two IDSA Gold Awards, the International Forum Design GmbH's iF Best in Medical Award, and Belgium Product of the Year. Velazquez holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Science in Design from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology. At Georgia Tech, he focuses on advancing healthcare design thinking and innovation, teaching undergraduate and graduate level classes that introduce design methods and strategies for health and wellness solutions.
